As a result of digging through public and private archives for 38 years, we are able to create this accurate history of the very rare variants from the Pz.Kpfw.II family - the VK 901, VK 903, VK 1301, VK 1303, and VK 1601. Original drawings, documented measurements, and original wartime photographs were used to create four-view drawings of the VK 901 and VK 1601 (printed at 1/35th scale). Over a thousand hours were spent precisely measuring external details of the "Luchs" in order to create as-built drawings of all six views (including right side and belly) with both the VK 1301 and VK 1303 turrets in 1/24th scale. Even the smallest details are clearly discernable in the component drawings at 1/10th scale including the surprise feature of an Orterkompass mounted on the turret roof. This 56 page book is illustrated with over 50 drawings and 41 clean/rare photos.

38 years of digging out original records in public and private archives and hundreds of visits to museums were spent in creating this penultimate history of a winner - the Panzerkampfwagen III variants used to win the 1939 to 1941 campaigns. Survivors were accurately measured in detail and drawn at full scale to create as-built drawings for the first time - accurate to the same tight tolerances demanded of the original assembly firms. Thousands of hours went into sorting out the defining features for each Ausfuehrung as well as when significant modifications were introduced. We have selected the unique approach of using 1/10th scale drawings to illustrate the smallest details, while six-view (including right side and belly) 1/35th scale drawings are still used for the complete Pz.Kpfw.III. Over 120 clean/rare photos and drawings illustrate this 84 page book.

Thanks to the School of Tank Technology, Krupps correspondence and meeting notes survived to provide us with a detailed insider view of the development of the Maus and the associated TIger-Maus (later renamed E 100) projects. Since the rigid procurement system had broken down, anyone attending the next project meeting could add novel ideas as requirements such as remotely controlled flamethrowers and a 2 cm anti-aircraft gun in the turret. Thanks to a private collector, the detailed large-scale component drawings created by Porsche and Krupp for the Maus survived and were used to create the new scale drawings of the Maus. Pure chance also preserved the drawings, notes, and photographs that made it possible for us to create new drawings of the E 100 with a turret designed by Krupp in 1944. In accordance with our high standards, the text and data are based solely on primary sources. 62 clean/rare photos and 67 scale drawings illustrate this 72 page book.

Featuring 16 pages of 1:35, 1:20 and 1:10 scale CAD drawings. In November 1941 a specification was issued for a fully tracked M.S.P. (Mittlerer Schützen Panzerwagen) to replace the Sd.Kfz.251 and designated “Kätzchen” (meaning Kitten). The result was a highly effective fully-tracked carrier but from the large number of original documents that we found we gain a unique insight not only into the design and development of the Kätzchen but the trials and tribulations of developing a new armoured vehicle in the rapidly deteriorating war situation. Parallel with the Kätzchen development the war situation created a demand for solutions based on the readily available Sd.Kfz.251. Ongoing research has led to the acquisition of new information that was not available when Panzer Tracts No.15-3 was published and allowed large scale accurate drawing of the 2cm Schwebelafette 38 for the Sd.Kfz.251/17 and other final Sd.Kfz.251 projects. In accordance with Panzer Tracts high standards, the text and data are based solely on primary sources. 60 large clean photos illustrate this exciting 60-page book.

This was one of the most exciting projects for the Panzer Tracts team with significant new discoveries. The history of the Bergepanther has been difficult to unravel: firstly, there was a lack of clarity in the original German documentation, secondly, the Allies were only interested in Bergepanther equipped with the 40t winch and associated spade. Now, Panzer Tracts can reveal a much more complete story of the Bergepanther which was essential to the functioning of Panther and Tiger units. Besides the Ausf.A & G we found three different versions converted from the turretless Pz.Kpfw.Panther chassis! Two were new vehicles while the final one was rebuilt from large numbers of Panther Ausf.D in a previously undocumented factory. Between 25% and 30% of all Bergepanther were turretless Panther chassis. Hundreds of hours were spent accurately measuring surviving Bergepanther and drawing at full-scale to create accurate as-built drawings. This 84-page Panzer Tracts is the ultimate primary source reference on the Bergepanther with over 21 pages 1:35 scale drawings and 82 clear, large-format photos, many which have never been seen before.

The m.Zgkw.8t was one of the most important German military vehicles. Due to impressive size and the weapons they towed, they capture the imagination of all. Over time they faded into the background, though they were produced in ever increasing numbers. The Panzer Tracts team has produced a remarkable story supported by primary sources. Many m.Zgkw.8t have survived in public and private collections, including examples of all the chassis types. Several hundred hours were spent travelling and precisely measuring each, and over one thousand hours were expended to create accurate drawings. Our primary research also yielded numerous previously undocumented modifications. Including the history of the Trattore Semicingolato 8t which Breda was licensed to be built for the Italian army. This 88-page Panzer Tracts is the ultimate accurate primary source reference on the m Zgkw.8t (Sd.Kfz.7) with over 15 Pages of 1:35 scale drawings and 109 clear, large-format, photos most of which have never been published.
Panzer Tracts #22-4
Retail: $34.95 Our Price: $25.99
Until now the self-propelled guns on half-track “Sfl. auf m.Zgkw. 8t” have simply been identified by weapon: 2cm Flakvierling (Sd.Kfz.7/1) or 3,7cm Flak (Sd.Kfz.7/2). Now Panzer Tracts’ research sets the record straight with descriptions of no less than 12 different Sfl.Flak variants. This allows the reader to see for the first time the evolution of these important self-propelled anti-aircraft guns. Also featured in this Panzer Tracts is the enlarged 8t Zgkw. (Sd.Kfz.7/6) created to carry the range finding equipment of a 8,8cm Flak Batterie, the Feuerleitpanzer, armoured control centre for launching the A4 (V2) rockets and the surprisingly widespread “Behelfspanzerung” that will be new to most enthusiasts. Fortunately, several Selbstfahrlafette auf m.Zgkw. 8t and all of the Flak guns required have survived to the present day in public, private and even closed collections. This is the ultimate and only accurate primary source reference on the gepanzerter Zugkraftwagen 8t (Sd.Kfz.7) and Flak Sfl. There are 21 pages of 1:35 scale drawings grouped together to facilitate comparison and over 100 clear large-format photos most of which have never been published before.
